About Yes to Life
Yes to Life (Y2L) is dedicated to supporting those with cancer and their families in a unique manner by supporting access to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).
For many, the mainstream approaches such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy are not viable or attractive options. Furthermore, for those choosing orthodox treatment, there are many excellent complementary therapies with the potential to enhance those treatments, to minimise damage from them and to reduce their side effects, as well as to promote recovery and reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
Cancer affects over 300,000 people a year in the UK and current statistics show that one in four of us will die due to cancer. One in three cancer patients have used some form of CAM.
The purpose of Y2L is to raise awareness and change attitudes by providing support and information, and obtaining advice regarding non- toxic medicine. It provides a variety of services that aim to ensure that people with cancer can easily obtain information on CAM. These services will open up options for potentially thousands of people affected by cancer and will assist in improving their journey through their disease.
The impact of Y2L is already significant and will continue to grow as the organisation develops. Through a dedicated Help Centre, an online searchable database of alternative treatments and the establishment of teams of One-to-One Guides across the country, the charity aims to become an essential tool for empowering those affected by cancer to make positive choices towards their own healthcare.

Below is a small selection of responses we have had to our Help Centre service:
"I think that you are a brilliant organisation and feel that I owe you a great deal."
Deborah
"What wonderful news - thank you so very much. This will make a big difference to my parents - not only for financial reasons but also to know that there is someone out there who cares and who is supporting people like my father, even though you don't know these patients personally. Bless you all."
Lesley
"It is such a boost...to communicate with you and to recieve so much feedback so promptly. It has given me a real feeling that I am going in the right direction and I am glad to know there is support and practical help for people like me now and in the future. It can be a scary and lonely journey at times so thank you for your warmth."
Kai
"I can honestly say that I am sure that without Yes to Life I would not be at this point where I feel I am in control of the disease. Thank you."
Sarah
"Huge thanks to` Yes to Life' for their very generous contribution which
restored my faith in human nature. This helped us at a time when we were
desperate and saved me many sleepless nights worrying about how I was going
to fund all of this."
Dave
"Being able to talk to you has been invaluable. Your positivity really helped me to keep going on through the difficult times during the waiting that ensued around the seeking of a second opinion. Now we intend to go on positively with the route ahead."
Lyn
"My mother passed away on Wednesday after a short battle with cancer where despite the fact she was previously strong, fit and healthy, she was told there was nothing anyone could do for her. We looked into alternative treatments and she began a new diet but we were put off doing this by every single NHS doctor we saw. We were given no hope whatsoever and told they would simply care for her as she died. Her death may have been the ultimate outcome whatever - unfortunately, having been repeatedly told to give up, accept and stop fighting, I searched and found your site too late. For sufferers and their families the idea of someone saying 'yes to life' is precious."
